Hilarious and deadpan " fishing show " ( in which little to no fish are caught ) hosted by John Lurie and featuring Tom Waits, Dennis Hopper, Willem Defoe, etc. Great music by Lurie and some truly odd and hilarious segments with his fishing guests.

Ok this was a strange one.
The disk is damaged, so I couldn't watch a lot of it.
I'm not a celebrity guy, but from what I gather, John was in another movie, with Tom Waits, about a jailbreak. It was directed by Jarmush, who's the 1st "guest" on this show. He's not exactly interesting, but later Tom Waits says some funny stuff & stores a fish in his pants, also gets seasick.
Most of the show is just a day on the water w/some guy, & often a funny narrator commenting. At one point, the narrator points out their Thai guide has wooden legs, but real feet. LMFAO.
I think Dennis Hopper wanted to catch Kraken or something crazy, but most of the guests have it pretty easy, up til Willem Dafoe...I'm not a fan, but his episode was impressive: They built a shack in the remote cold, stayed for weeks & half-starved. Disk stopped working before the end, but it looked pretty sucky to ice fish, compared to tropic lounging.
