Starts out to slow but when they get to Greece really picks up and very funny. Good for women to see you don't have to sit at home and be a door mat, get up, get out and have fun. You can do it in your own back yard.

Rated 5/10. I found this overall to be quite a sad drama. Not a lot of comedy in it. The monologue got to be a bit much after a while, too.

Delightful movie! An older classic! If I didn't already like Pauline Collins, I certainly would with this movie!

A delight to watch. Funny, entertaining and a good story all around. I truly enjoyed it.

The fashion is funny but the story still is excellent. It remains on point and satisfying to watch. I highly recommend!!

My number one, favourite movie of all time! The best thing about this movie is it does not tell you how it ends and I have noticed that when I am happy, I believe it ends one way and when I am discontented, I feel it ends a different way. First written as a stage play for one woman, it has been translated beautifully into a movie that interacts with many characters. So many of us want to run away and change our life and through Shirley we can.
