In the second book in the Chronicles of St Mary's series, Max and the team visit Victorian London in search of Jack the Ripper, withers the murder of Archbishop Thomas a Becket in Canterbury Cathedral, and discover that dodos make a grockling noise when eating cucumber sandwiches. If you enjoy imaginative stories that are fun, fast paced, full of fascinating characters, based (not sure how accurately) on history as well as a possible future, then I recommend the series of Chronicles of St. Mary's. Be sure to start with the first book -- "Just One Damned Thing After Another"

What a wonderful series. From this first book til the 3rd I just read. I surely hope Jodi Taylor continues it.

I can't believe these books come audio! I wonder how many drivers had to pull over because they where laughing too hard or crying? Great reads for stuffy areas like bank queues or on the light rail. Nothing stirs the zombies like laughter and then tears.
