There is soap, vegetable, and wood to carve but no cheese. This is an excellent beginner's book. You can practice on a bar of soap or a carrot, or go directly to a small piece of wood. Just small pieces of wood, a sharp knife, and this book are all you need.

One would assume that "Tiny Whittling" would apply to wood. No, in this book you carve cheese and vegetables.
