This thriller/horror movie is about a family who returns home to Los Angeles after a fun family vacation. After getting home, they notice that the youngest son is starting to behave strangely, and that he brought back weird rocks from their vacation. The family must now face a supernatural being that feeds off of their fears and terrorizes their home. The worst things about this movie are how many scenes didn’t make sense with one another, and the actors didn’t do a great job at bringing the script to life or expressing emotion even when there were no lines. I would rate this movie 2/5 stars and recommend it to those who want to watch a very tame horror film. @The_Reviewer of the Hamilton Public Library Teen Review Board

Didn't think we were going to enjoy it but we did! Not a bad little horror flick with enough suspense to keep your interest. Unfortunate ending, however.

I feel that the film's look at a family with two children with different problems should be praised. However on a whole, this is just a shallow effort at adding substance to a hollow story. This is another example of a white family being haunted and having another culture save them. A shameless exploitation of false Native American culture.

Good acting, entertaining, but for me this is a very tired plot.

Quite a different take on the haunted house theme with an autistic son, bulimic daughter, an alcoholic mom and Mr. Footloose himself, Kevin Bacon, leading this tough luck bunch. But are their problems self induced or caused by freaky Southwest American Indian demons? What do you think. Pretty good tension builder that had good scary moments. Check out the alternative ending which was more to my liking.
