Part 3 of Eric's quest to find out why he was taken from his home

Adventure is the one thing that Eric craved most of all when he was growing up. He suspected that his father was hiding something and he tried to find out, but it was to no avail. Eric had walked in several times to see that his mother and father had stopped talking by the time he walked into the room. There were times that he thought that they were having some kind of party in his honor, but on the last day on his birthday, things changed in a dramatic way. He had found that adventure by going against the elements, fighting off spiders and meeting a dragon that had a voice inside his head. He had fought against zombies and now he stood with a woman that really did have her own mind. The ax made of dragon bone was now his, but how he was going to keep it was anybody's guess. Would Gander really leave it alone? What is around the bend and why did his parents prepare him for this?
