Basically Emperors usurped by popular uprising, aristocrats & court infighting between consort vs eunuchs in first volume. Geography & climate (low annual precipitation) caused hungry nomads to raid China throughout history. Volume also highlighted competing philosophies.
Took a star off because it lacked biography on where author/artist got his sources.

if you feel that:

Chinese history is recorded and interpreted differently from western history,

and if you are curious then this book can wet your appetite,

it uses graphics to feed your imagination when English words cannot,

its short comings are, its graphics are not in the style of Disney or computer animation.

but it is better than nothing,

and you do want to fill your imagination will some animated chinese history don't you.
i know you are hungry your mind is under nourished,
there are animated stories of all human history , discoveries, innovations, the spiritual
progress of civilization, awaiting you in your library....
