An atmospheric novel set in New Orleans, detailing one man's search for meaning in his life. Quirky and lightly philosophical, 'The Moviegoer' is a short but dense read. Highly recommended if you enjoy more substantial southern literature.

- One of the Southern writers, despite very little action, I liked how he drew you into and painted his family – his aunt, uncle and his strange and damaged cousin, Kate. I liked it. 8/10
