I really liked this book. The idea behind it is great, and I love all the different perspectives as well. I was caught by surprise at first, but then I was completely pulled into it. Love all the scientific facts, too! Totally recommend!

This YA Romance emphasizes how even if we don't know it, even the smallest of gestures can have huge impacts on people's lives. I loved the interconnectivity and the brutal honesty of the characters.

Yoon's writing is so creative and new, I don't really care what the plot is because I know I'll enjoy it regardless. Yoon is also doing so much for diverse stories and really knows how to write teenage characters.

This book switches perspectives seamlessly and focuses on certain things in great detail, which adds an interesting aspect to the story. It really shows you how your actions can have such big consequences too. It's a fun read. But, it's unrealistic that these strangers would happen to run into each other and fall in love in just one day.

"The Sun is Also a Star" is a really good book, it is not as well written as "Everything Everything"
but it still is a wonderful experience. Some pros of this wonderful book are, Many details & Real-life likely situation (except the fall in love in a day thing). Nichola Yoon is a wonderful writer I wish for more books from her.

After first reading "Everything Everything", I was excited for this book. I hoped it would be just as fun, well-written, dramatic, and have a good plot. Well, the idea of the story is good and the problem is realistic, but I think the relationships between the characters moved too quickly. I was expecting a build up, but it happened all so fast. Not an ending that I like, but it's a good teen read. The author has done other pieces that are better. It's worth reading, but a bit predictable.

"I think all the good parts of us are connected on some level. The part that shares the last double chocolate chip cookie or donates to charity or gives a dollar to a street musician or becomes a candy striper or cries at Apple commercials or says I love you or I forgive you. I think that's God. God is the connection of the very best parts of us." One of my fav quotes from the book

A fascinating story about love, family expectations, and fate. The teenage main characters
are dealing with some serious issues on the day they meet. This book had me laughing and crying; a quick read and sweet story.

Observable Fact: You should never take long shots. Better to study the odds and take the probable shot. However, if the long shot is your only shot, then you have to take it.

Natasha is an undocumented Jamaican immigrant who has been in the United States since she was eight years old, and today is her last day in New York. Tonight, she and her family have to get on a plane and go back to Jamaica, all thanks to her father’s DUI. But Natasha is desperate to stay, to graduate high school, to go to college. Everything—her life, her future, almost all of her memories—is here. Daniel is the second son of hard-working South Korean immigrants. Today, he must put on his suit, cut his long hair, and put aside his dreams of being a poet. Today, he has an admissions interview for Yale University, where his parents expect him to study to become a doctor. When Natasha and Daniel’s paths cross, their romance is destined to end almost as soon as it begins. How much can you love in a single day?
