The book club
is about to get
a makeover....

Even if Megan would rather be at the mall, Cassidy is late for hockey practice, Emma's already read every book in existence, and Jess is missing her mother too much to care, the new book club is scheduled to meet every month.

But what begins as a mom-imposed ritual of reading Little Women soon helps four unlikely friends navigate the drama of middle school. From stolen journals, to secret crushes, to a fashion-fiasco first dance, the girls are up to their Wellie boots in drama. They can't help but wonder: What would Jo March do?

Acclaimed author Heather Vogel Frederick will delight daughters of all ages in a novel about the fabulousness of fiction, family, and friendship.

I love this book! In the beginning, I didn't even realize how it could come to be, but after, with friendships getting closer together, and fun bonding each other, the bookclub became a successful event. I love this book because it lets me feel how life in the world could be both great and bad. I also experienced how people would feel, either by being bullied, a mother left, or a parent being too rude or overprotective. This book should be for middle schoolers because this book ma be too long for elementary school. I finished this book in 2 days, and the only way I did it was because the book was so interesting. I just kept on reading and reading, and soon, BOOM! i finished the book. I hope that you would be able to experience how good this book is, and feel the same way as I do.

I started the series because I love the books that the MDBC is reading. And I can safely say that I've been enjoying the experience (I just finished Pies & Prejudice). I was hooked as soon as I realized they'd be reading Anne of Green Gables in the series, and then Daddy Long Legs and Pride and Predjudice... well, I really like them.

But just an issue I have:

A Zack Attack? Seriously? I go to an all-girls school. I can't really base my knowledge of this on anything other than my fangirl attacks on fictional characters, but come one, those are totally accurate.
But a Zack Attack? Something just doesn't feel right.

Otherwise, this book is great, and so are the others in the series!

the whole series is AWESOME! i've read the entire series at least 3 times and i still love them. You never get tired of all the different events the girls talk about. I wish there were more books in the series though. I definitely recommend it to everyone.
