It seems that there are two versions of the sky-crane accident in which Spidey saves the lovely Gwen. In the one I saw about 15 years ago in the theatre Gwen is an office intern working alone wearing a skimpy silky dress and slides pretty much the whole length of the floor when the crane takes out the corner of the building it also is dark outside. That is the scene I had particularly looked forward to seeing again. In the Netflix version I saw today it is daytime and Gwen is a model posing for shots with two other models for a numbskull photographer when the accident happens.
In the first version the accident is caused by the crane operator's neglect and carelessness. In this other version the accident is caused by mechanical malfunction and the crane operator behaves somewhat heroically in trying to get the power cut off from the crane. Also many other actors get play time including a black model. There also seems to be a lot more special effects and action. So I can imagine those are the reasons for the changes and additions. In the originally it's all Spiderman and Gwen.
Regardless which crane accident scene this DVD version contains; if you haven't yet seen this vintage Spiderman movie you are sure to enjoy it.

The most hilarious moments almost make this a must-watch, but you can just watch those online.
Sandman is pretty great in this, but "New Goblin" and Venom are so hamfistedly done that the whole thing ends up being very disappointing.

This movie is the third and final installment in the Spider man series that was started back in 2002. This is by far (in my opinion), tied for the best Spider man movie ever made. This movie starts off showing how Peter is finally getting a control of his life as Spider man, a university student, and able to date his child hood crush Marry Jane. But suddenly all of that crashes as it shows how Peter created all of his own enemies. At the beginning of the movie Harry Osborn tries killing Peter because he thinks Peter killed his father, and it ends in Harry getting injured with temporary memory loss. It also shows another villain known as the sand man wanting to kill Spider Man. And Spider man made another villain at the end of the movie in Venom. In the final scene it shows Venom and Sandman teaming up against Spider man leaving him defeat with no hope. But then out of no where despite all the fights they had Harry comes to the rescue and saves spider-man and helps him defeat the villains. In my opinion this movie shows how friends can go through rough patches but they will always have each others backs. I recommend this movie to everyone. @ButterChicken of the Teen Review Board at the Hamilton Public Library

This is my favourite spider man as Toby Maguire is the original Spider man appose to the other ones. I think he was the perfect part as he was very nerdy, and I think he played a great job. I also liked Mary Jane, I think the actress who played her, Kristen Dunst, did a great job as well. This movie however number three, was not my favourite. I think the first two were very well done. This one I feel was all over the place and I didn’t know what was happening when I was 8. I liked the idea of the dark spider, but I felt they could have done more with it. 3/5 stars @EffyStonem of the Teen Review Board at the Hamilton Public Library.

Spider-Man 3 is a 2007 superhero film based on the fictional Marvel Comics character Spider-Man created by Stan Lee and Steve Ditko. It was directed by Sam Raimi, the third installment in his series after the beloved initial two films. Sadly, due to the agenda of Sony and their overarching power as a studio, Raimi did not get to make the film he wanted to. The studio wanted to raise the stakes for the third film by cramming in an unneeded and detrimental surplus of villains. No doubt this was in an attempt to prime the franchise for future expansion. Raimi himself admitted on a podcast, “I should've just stuck with the characters and the relationships and progressed them to the next step and not tried to top the bar. I think that was my mistake." Instead of following the natural progression of a story, the narrative was forced to conform to the characters the big studio executives wanted in the film. This creates a splintered and unsatisfying plot that is hard to follow or become invested in. There is also a series of scenes in this movie that totally makes the viewer despise Peter Parker, so cringe worthy I can barely sit through them. I would not recommend watching this film unless you want your image of Spider-man to be tainted forever. 1.5/5 Stars. @Joaquin of the Hamilton Public Library Teen Review Board

Not enough of spidermans greatest villain venom. He should have been the main villain in this film. Well i guess thats why there making a solo venom movie. But this is still a decent movie.

I agree, the Sandman was ok, but Venom got very little screen time. Not as good as the two before it but still not to bad.
P.S. Going into a cathedral and praying for someone else to be destroyed does not work. If someone does wrong towards you, go into a cathedral (or church) and forgive that person.

This movie would have been much better if it had focused on Venom.

Ok movie. Worth a watch.

Peter Parker, who is loved by New York for having scared away criminals, plans to propose to Mary Jane Watson, who has just made her Broadway musical debut. While Peter and Mary Jane are on a date in Central Park watching a meteor shower on one of Peter's webs, a small meteorite crashes nearby. An extraterrestrial symbiote, which looks like black tar, attaches itself to Peter's moped. Elsewhere, escaped prisoner Flint Marko is being chased by the police. He climbs a security fence and falls into an experimental particle accelerator, which fuses his body with the surrounding sand. He finds he can shapeshift at will and becomes the Sandman. Peter's best friend, Harry Osborn, who knows Peter is Spider-Man and responsible for his father's death, attacks Peter on the way home from his Aunt May's apartment using new weapons based on his father's Green Goblin technology. In the attack, Harry injures his head on a pipe and suffers from partial amnesia (loss of short-term memory), making him forget his revenge and that Peter is Spider-Man.
