Another great Star Wars miniseries. Princess Leia is written with guile and compassion and has likeable companions. The artwork and story are both excellent.

Princess or General, Leia Organa is one of my favorite fictional characters. I definitely felt the second half of the book really drove the point home with Leia's tactical prowess and ingenuity. This is an enjoyable read, especially for us Organa devotees.

Mourning her home planet's destruction and restricted by her royal status, Leia seeks escape and redemption by taking on a rescue mission. A large female cast is introduced, but overall there's something missing.

A solo miniseries for the character, this picks up in the immediate aftermath of A New Hope, as Leia undertakes a personal mission in search of her people. Mark Waid writes her with the strength and conviction one would expect out of the character, while the art by the Dodsons is a welcome sight.

"We are not our enemy. We are Alderaan. We answer rage with wisdom. We answer fear with imagination. We answer war with hope. If one life with a single drop of Alderaanian blood survives, Alderaan survives. If one life with a passion for Alderaanian creativity survives, Alderaan survives. And we are, each of us, important. And whatever happens, I bow to all of you and to our future."
