The original British series was cringe-worthy and hilarious. This one is just embarrassing.

The Office is my absolute "go to" when I need an uplifted mood. Each time I see it, I laugh as if I'm seeing it for the first time.

This show was very funny and i really liked it. There are a few bad or innapropriate jokes but overall it is good., The innapropriate jokes are sometimes hard to undertand for young ones so it is ok.

The Office is amongst one of my favourite TV shows to ever air and I'm positive many others can declare the same. Although its awkward (and at time antagonizing) sense of humour may not appeal to everyone, The Office has a phenomenal cast, with Steve Carrell, John Krasinski and Ed Helms to name a few. Season 1 is (obviously) where the whole eclat of awkwardness began, and though watching through season 1 is crucial to the plotline, I didn't particularly enjoy the early beginnings. Despite this, season 1 still showcases some hilarious content, especially in the risk-filled episode: "Diversity Day," when we begin to learn more about Michael Scott and Dwight Schrute's personalities. Home to only 6 episodes, season 1 is easy to binge and quite addicting to watch- surely holding its reputation as the beginning to one of the greatest shows on modern television. If you enjoy other TV shows like "Parks and Recreation," or "Brooklyn 9-9" then you are more than likely going to enjoy hearing all of Dwight's safety drills, Michael's comedy routines, and Jim's excessive pranks: The Office is a show you'll particularly love and come back to time-and-time again. I'll admit, my love for The Office frightens me at times and it seems as though this was intentional: To quote Michael Scott, "I want people to be afraid of how much they love me." 4/5. @showmethemonet! of the Hamilton Public Library Teen Review Board

One my favourite shows, so funny and light hearted. The show itself has many great actors whom you fall in love with. They are characters you can laugh, smile and cry with. The show does require a certain type of humour. The first season is a hard season to get through, but it is worth it. The show premiered in 2005, the first season has 6 episode which are roughly 20 minutes long. The episodes are not dragged out, for me it was very funny. What can I say, Michael Scott and the Dunder Mifflin Paper Company won over my heart. I would recommend this show to everyone. 4/5 stars. @Gray19 of the Teen Review Board at the Hamilton Public Library

The first season of The Office isn't the best season, but it is the start of one of my favourite shows! The Office can be happy, hilarious, and heartbreaking, all in one episode. The first season introduces us to the characters we grow to love over the next eight seasons. We also get introduced to the typical antics that go down, usually lead by Jim or Michael. I must say, when I watched the first season for the first time, I wasn't particularly a fan, but it gets so much better from there! What I'm trying to say is: if the first season isn't good to you, give the second season a shot and I'm sure you'll enjoy it much more! No matter how many times I've watched The Office, it never gets old, and I love that about this show! My rating for season one is 4/5! @peraltiago4ever of the Hamilton Public Library Teen Review Board

This season, in my opinion, started off a little slow as they were building upon the characters, but as the season continues it really started to get hilarious. I really love the friendship between Jim and Dwight. I never get bored while watching this show and can watch so many episodes without even realizing that I’ve just spent 2 hours watching the office. Michael just makes everything that much more hilarious. This show definitely has the ability to get someone into a good mood. Totally recommend this show to teenagers and adults as there are some sexual references that may not be appropriate for young viewers. I would give this season of the office 4.5 out of 5 stars. @terrificbooklover of the Hamilton Public Library Teen Review Board

When this show was fairly prominent as something to catch when you were flipping through the channels, I managed to never catch on to it. Now, that it's been gone a little while and perhaps because it's on Netflix, I've had several recommendations come my way and I couldn't ignore them.

The show is obviously hilarious. I wonder if it lacks some of the overall depth and enjoyability of greats like Seinfeld or even Friends. On the pure hilarity scale The Office may have both of them beat - almost crushed lol. However, I'm not sure if for me The Office will have the same longevity.

Steve Carell is hilarious and this show seems to prove a playground for whatever type of banter and idiosyncratic behaviour he seems to fancy. (May be equally true for him as an actor and his character.) Obviously the supporting cast is what makes the show possible and shan't be left out.

Season one contains six solid episodes, and it's nice to have a show good right out the gates rather than one I gave up on early on (see: Curb Your Enthusiasm). For me, I found "Basketball" to be particularly hilarious as they choreographed some funny stuff during the game and Steve Carell soaked some good juice out of being "that guy" who talks a good game and then air balls his jump shot as badly as is humanly possible (and then he has to try to maintain his 'coolness').

Also, one of the funniest moments came in The Pilot (or maybe ep2) where Steve Carell's character talks of his biggest inspirations... And God was one of them since he admires "people who made a difference in the world." Lol

Remains to be seen how hard I'm going to go after watching season two but there's no doubt The Office is a fun playground for interesting comedy.

A solid show that stands well on its own. Although, I do prefer the British version.

Like Parks and Recreation, I should have gotten into this hilarious series earlier.
