Add a CommentThis is an absolute nonsense from beginning to the end. Helpless drug dealers asking for a retired policeman's help? A caricature figure of a homeless teen with many talents? Give me a break! Total waste of time. I fast forwarded it to make sure it wasn't a parody.
could not finish it as it is so hard to watch the gory stuff. Not necessary!
Not even Liam Neeson could rescue this film from its unnecessary sexual torture/women as victim scenes. There's some attempt to make the drug dealers sympathetic figures as they realize their lucrative "profession" has put their wives and daughters at risk from the two sociopaths.
Spouse enjoyed movie but I could have done without the graphic gore-ish scenes. Thought the story was interesting. Spouse would watch it again 'sometime in the future' but not for me. Its a bit ore than you'd anticipate with Liam Neesom in lead role.
Enjoy Liam Neeson as an actor, but this film contained gruesome, sickening, torturous violence, which I don't consider entertaining.
This is a 2014 American neo-noir crime thriller written and directed by Scott Frank, based on a novel by Lawrence Block of the same name.
There is NOT much nor interesting twists in the storyline.
It appears like a B-movie with strong violence, disturbing images and some ungraceful nudity.
violent- not my taste
A poor man’s version of Sam Spade or Philip Marlowe – A little more atmosphere and a reduction of the silly fights and shootouts and this could have been a really good film. Well, at least Liam Neeson does some acting unlike his mindless Taken 2, 3, 4, etc. where the films are all about mindless running and shooting.
Just plain horrible...stopped watching it after 10 minutes.
Crime drama. Brutal & gruesome. Fighting, swearing and shooting!
