I don't understand this movie - but I love it. I've seen it many, many times, and yet I still don't know what makes it so captivating. Maybe it's Bogart's voice-over. Maybe it's a romanticism about another era. Maybe it's because the lead character is so much more savvy (street smart) than I could ever imagine myself being. Or maybe it's the sadistic villain portrayed by Marvin Miller. See it - three good reviews can't be wrong.

A great film noir mystery with Humphrey Bogart, the beautiful Lizabeth Scott and a great supporting cast. A must-see classic.
