There are only so many things people can care about so they need to figure out which ones really matter, Manson makes clear. While money is nice, caring about what listeners do with their life is better, because true wealth is about experience. A much needed moment of real talk, filled with entertaining stories and profane, ruthless humor, this is a refreshing slap for this generation, to help them lead contented, grounded lives.

This short anti-self help book written by a popular blogger takes on the mindfulness/positivity/consumerist American culture. He suggests that you come to terms with the fact that humans are flawed and limited and almost always average. It's just not possible to be exceptional in every dimension but possibly in just one area with lots and lots of discipline and practice. You also need to learn to say No. Although crude in places, his approach has led him to a much more satisfying life. As Mark would say, "Get over yourself!"
