I've probably seen this trillions of times! War Doctor, 10th Doctor, 11th Doctor, Clara Ozwin Ozwald, the Moment, Kate Leftbridge-Stewart and Ozwin were amazing! It never gets old! And the shorts were good!

Wow! Just what the heck was that? Very fast moving, interesting, intriguing. But what's the plot about? I really can't say. I watched it as a sort of stream of consciousness thing, and it worked for me. I'm new to the whole Dr Who scene, have only seen episodes from the first two doctors, until this one. The list of cast in the catalog entry includes Patrick Troughton , the second doctor, so I presumed this was part of that second doctor series, or at least related. One word to that idea: No. In fact other than a brief glimpse of an old black and white image of him playing the second doctor, as far as I can tell, Patrick Troughton doesn't appear at all in "The Day of the Doctor". But the three doctors who do appear, I must say, they are pretty good. Definitely Doctor Who-like. The supporting cast, not quite as much praise deserved, but they do well enough to keep the story moving along. And besides the three doctors, there's Daleks and shape shifting alien Zygons, so basically, what's not to like? Recommended with a caveat: Those new to Dr Who might prefer to wait on this one, until they've seen some of the more modern episodes.

While the cameos were fun, this special was a mess.

While it is a lot of fun, I hated what they did at the end. It seems like Moffat's mission was to undo everything that Russel T Davies did during his amazing stint as showrunner. I don't want to spoil the ending for the few of you who haven't seen it, but undoing that really angers me. And I love John Hurt, but why make him a super-secret Doctor? I think what angered me the most is that the change they made didn't make for any epic conflict or drama down the road. Just a chit-chat in the desert, which happens in this special too. We got many clues to the epic nature of the end of the Time War and none of it is in this piece. Having two Doctors play off of each other was fantastic, but it felt like such a waste by the end.

One of my faveourite adventures yet! John Hurt should appear in Doctor Who more he definaltly puts the other Doctor's in their place.

GREAT this is one of the best episodes BBC ever made

Resolved a few plot holes like his planet "destroyed". Nice touch of all twelve doctors to do the supercomputer league calculations. Great to see prequel on how the eight doctor (yay!) to be the War Doctor.

War Doctor: Are you capable of speaking without flapping your hands about?
Eleventh Doctor: Yes.
[Claps his hands together]
Eleventh Doctor: No.

Eleventh Doctor: I demand to be incarcerated in the tower immediately with my co-conspirators, Sand Shoes and Granddad.
War Doctor: Granddad?
Tenth Doctor: They're not sand shoes!
War Doctor: Yes, they are.

War Doctor: [the Tenth and Eleventh Doctors are pointing their sonic screwdrivers at Elizabethan guards] Oh, the pointing again! They're screwdrivers! What are you going to do? Assemble a cabinet at them?
