Not as good as the first movie where John Wick's motivation was more pure and compelling: love. In Chapter 2 it is mere survival, as I assume will be the case in Chapter 3. Good choreography on the individual fight scenes, but the level of violence was cartoonish. Ruby Rose appears as a mute h... Read More »

a video game without a modicum of a plot.

I thought it was a pretty good movie. The events of this movie takes place not too long after the first movie. The plot was not as good as the first one but it was still entertaining and filled with action. I know that the first one didn't have the most realistic fight scenes most of the time but this one was a little bit worse in that regard, really pushing it at times. All together it was still an entertaining movie.

The first one was almost plausible; but as this second one which is a straight up continuation of the first progressed I realised how ridiculous it was.
When Keanu's co-star from the Matrix played by Laurence Fishburne lll is introduced as "King of the Homeless" I felt very offended that this fantasy version of homeless were simply used as extras suggesting that homeless people are not really needy and it is all just undercover work for their organization ignoring the plight of real homeless as though they are no more than pigeons.

It’s too bad the plot is quite nonsense. The action is ok to watch.

I enjoyed this film - it starts losing some of the magic of the first film and drifts into more of a body-count style movie. But a lot of the wit and intriguing action carried into this one - worth watching if you liked the first one.

There is a scene in the movie Sicario, in which Josh Brolin leads his men into a drug cartel tunnel. You hear gunshots, and see flashes of light—the scene lasts about 60 seconds—but there is more suspense in that single minute than there is in 2 hours of the silly "action" in this movie. I had the mute button on for about an hour or so. Of course, Keanu Reeve's considerable acting skills (ha,ha) save the day. Yes, this movie is really that bad.

John wick is a live action Roadrunner vs Wylie Coyote(s) - minus the wit - with Ang "Crouching Dragon" Lee balletic "action", set against in a Terry Gillian (Brazil) - minus the intelligence - world.

Seamlessly starts a few days after John Wick #1 ends. There's almost no plot, but the non-stop action makes it worth seeing. If you don't watch #1, you won't know why anything in #2 is happening. Nonsensical ending to #2 sets up #3. The "special features" are the best part of this movie. Despite the problems, I could watch it again as part of a John Wick marathon.

I was definitely not watching the movie for the plot, I am watching it for the crazy stunts, actions scenes and Keanu Reeves doing what he does best: being a total bad ass!

The plot here is wafer thin, but you're not exactly watching this for the plot now, are you? You're watching it for the absolutely bonkers wall-to-wall ultraviolence and the elaborate fight sequences. Naturally, it doesn't capture lightning in a bottle the way the first one did, but there are worse ways to burn a couple of hours so long as you have the stomach hundreds people getting shot in the face by the Internet's boyfriend.

"He is a man of focus. Commitment. And sheer ****ing will."

John Wick: Winston... tell them... Tell them all... Whoever comes, whoever it is... I'll kill them. I'll kill them all.

Winston: 'Course you will.

I can assure you that the stories you hear about this man, if nothing else,
has been watered down.
That's why I need the ghost, lo Spettro (Italian for the Ghost), John Wick.
Two rules that cannot be broken, Jonathan. No blood on continental grounds, and every marker must be honored.
You stabbed the devil in the back and forced him back into the life that he had just left. You incinerated the priest's temple. Burned it to the ground. Now he's free of the marker, what do you think he'll do?
He was already back.
-Oh, he came back for love, not for you.
Oh, and remember, you owe me.
-You don't want me owing you.
