The Lost Stories
Book - 2013
Inspired by his millions of fans worldwide, many of whom wrote him emails and letters questioning the fate or the origin of some of the most popular characters and storylines from Ranger's Apprentice, John Flanagan decided to reward his loyal readers with a collection of stories answering these questions. In Book 11 of the Ranger's Apprentice epic, fans will see never-before-published stories featuring all their favorite characters, from Will to Halt, from Horace to Alyss. More than a companion book, THE LOST STORIES is, ultimately, a new entry in the series--and a tribute from author to reader.

Violence: Almost zero violence, just a teensy-weensy itsy-bitsy bit. Don't worry about it. The book is awesome if you're looking for heart-pounding action, and so are the series. :)

It took 11 books ..... But we FINALLY have a map!!!!
I am so thankful to Flanagan for giving us this book! It fills in a lot of the gaps and odd Wonderings that you have going through a long series. There's always going to be gaps and I'm glad Flanagan filled them. Though it saddened me to think that Araluen in ruins.
Purple prose was my absolute favorite!
I was in tears from laughter the entire time.
"Is there a problem?" -Will
"Yes there's a problem! You sound as if you swallowed a dictionary and then threw it's up!" - Halt
"and what's the penalty if I just you a great deal?"- Young Halt
..... Oh good o'le Halt!! I will forever love the from bearded ranger.
"and what's the penalty if I just you a great deal?"- Young Halt
Halt is literally my other half! I would have said the same thing... And often think it on a daily basis.
This is a series that you could read over and over and never get tired of!
Like these. provides some good background
Smart idea for a book! Interesting and ties up loose ends.
In Brotherband (Companion to Rangers Apprentice) #7 The Caldera at the end there is a short story about Madelyn or Maddie helping two people in her time as a Rangers Apprentice. It is after The Royal Ranger.
Hmmmm… Not as great as the rest of Ranger's Apprentice series.
Interesting to learn about Halt's past, Morgarath, the Roamers, Ranger horses breeding, and Gilan ❤️ Jenny.
And yes, you should read this book before The Royal Ranger.
For Ranger fans out there, this book is a good installment in the series. Some of the stories were great and some were terrible. If you do not like spoilers do not read this. Tug is replaced by another horse, and his name is changed to Bellerophon.
yes you have to read this before royal ranger
Do you have to read this book before the Royal Ranger? Please answer.
