Robert the Bruce. The title alone led to 'having a look.
From the first minute it irritated. Fake! The film lacked just about everything.
Obviously, not everyone's opinion though.

Really enjoyed this movie. There are skirmishes but no real battles. This portrays the king in exile, wounded and rescued by a country family. The children in the family made the movie; wonderful acting!! The ending of the movie was heartrending and uplifting.

This film contains some beautiful photography of the Scotland countryside and features fine performances from all involved. It does suffer from a lack of focus and momentum (especially in the first half), but this is somewhat remedied in the second half as the eponymous character is given more to do. As for Robert the Bruce himself, I appreciate that Angus Macfayden was able to reprise his role from Braveheart (1995), but fans of Mel Gibson's action-packed war epic may be a little disappointed by this film's smaller scale and quieter tone.

I didn't enjoy this at all. More like Robert the Bad.

It’s a beautiful movie. It’s more of a character sketch than an action thriller. I watched it a second time with the commentary turned on, and liked it a lot better the second time.
Like everybody else, subtitles would have been helpful. The closed caption function on my tv worked, though. First time I’ve ever watched a movie and had closed captions showing “inaudible” over and over.

Great movie but hard to follow as there was no subtitiling and the female narrator voice was hard to hear\understand.

Picks up where Braveheart ends. A decent movie. Same original 'the Bruce' actor.
