A fantasy film, but a total tear-jerker.

Classed as thriller. Well done as a story about people... great actors and script.

Classic Si-Fi based on Philip K Dick story. Strongly recommended.

The Adjustment Bureau soars on the incandescent chemistry between Emily Blunt and Matt Damon. My wife and I watched the library copy once -- and then bought our own DVD. The four-minute men's room scene alone is more memorable than countless entire movies.

Based on Philip K. Dick's 1954 short story "Adjustment Team", which lacked hats, portals, politicians, dancers and romance. The film preserves the essence of the story nevertheless while doing a better job of developing it. I highly recommend both.

Well, it's not Blade Runner, but it is fun to watch nonetheless. Matt Damon as a politician is believable, Emily Blunt doesn't convince me as a dancer at all, but she has a great delivery of funny lines, Terence Stamp is always riveting--that stone face--and makes me watch even though some of his lines are pretty dumb. Good party flick.

I liked it. Similar to the Matrix. The designer of the plan is God. destiny for this man and this woman to be together, yet the agents (could be angels, could be demons) play their parts and the will of man and woman will determine if they receive what was meant for them along.

Thompson: "...For six hundred years we taught you to control your impulses with reason. Then in 1910 we stepped back. Within fifty years, you'd brought us World War I, The Depression, fascism, The Holocaust, and capped it off by bringing the entire planet to the brink of destruction in The Cuban Missile Crisis. At that point a decision was taken to step back in again before you did something... that even WE couldn't fix. You don't have free will, David. You have the *appearance* of free will."

David Norris: I can go through this door alone. You'll never see me or the people chasing us again, or you can come with me, and I don't know what's on the other side, but you'd be next to me and that's all I've wanted since the minute I met you.
