I really enjoyed this book, not quite as much as the first one but it was definitly worth the read. It was very fun, and it kept me interested and invested the whole time.

Is this the best book in the series? No. Does it suffer from middle book syndrome? A bit. But it's still so, SO good! I mean, I would read just about anything with Simon and Baz.

This is an example of a bad sequel after a wonderful book that could have stood alone

Wayward Son is such a good read, after the grand adventures of the first book I wasn’t sure how Rainbow Rowell was going to continue the story. But she did an amazing job. The book is suspenseful, and there’s so many twists and turns. I…

Wayward Son is the sequel to Carry On by Rainbow Rowell. Simon Snow did everything he was supposed to do to beat the villain and win the war, he even fell in love, but what does he need to do to get the motivation to get off the…

This book is sunshine and angst, and I adored it with my whole heart.

I found this book enjoyable, you get what you expected for for most of the book if you expected drama and conflict. Very angsty. The ending felt cheap though and kind of ruined the book for me. I enjoyed the first one way, way better than…

What do you do after you aren't the chosen one anymore? Road trip across America of course. I love this sequel. It has it's typical problems, being the second book in a trilogy by trying to flesh out characters that we already love and…

My HEART. This book was sunshine and angst. I adored it with every fibre of my being. Simon Snow has won. Technically. He vanquished the evil at Watford, defeated the Humdrum, and managed to secure the boy he loves as his own. Kind of.…

Raging dumpster fire compared to the first one, not gonna lie to you. The only reason it gets 1 star is for the fun idea and somewhat good plot. Other than that, the conclusion and entire tone of the book sucked. Can't believe I have to…

God I love it! Great sequel, can confirm that if you are a huge fan of the first book, you might cry within the first like seven pages. (Its all uphill from there I swear,) I would go ahead and write a list of everything I love about the…

Is book three going to be called "don't you cry no more"? "Kansas"? Ha, anyway, a delightful return to a Potter-like universe, but sort of not really, and the ongoing adventures of a bespelled Simon Snow, his magician vampire boyfriend,…

Great story! but be sure to read Carry On first or Wayward Son won't make a lick of sense

Loved this fast paced follow up to Carry On because it quickly gets us back up to speed with the characters, and into the next adventure. Great characters, lots of emotion, super fun.

That was quite the ride, and I'm not just saying that because it was a book centered on a road trip. A lot of ups and downs and a lot of action and learning about magic in America and some great new characters. A great follow up and an…

The much anticipated sequel to Carry On, Wayward Son was an enjoyable, if not thoroughly satisfying, read. This book held the same magic as the first one, offering new locations and creatures for Simon, the main character, to encounter.…

Well, it’s not quite as good as Cary On- but then again, what could be? Definitely worth the read though.

Loved this book so much. Not quite as much as the first one but it's super hard to compete with Carry On. The only things I didn't really like were the ending which felt super rushed and the lack of relationship development/character…

I was honestly expecting this to be a 5-star read, so while I did really like this, I am the slightest bit disappointed at the same time. I think this book started off on the right foot, focusing on character relationships and growth.…

Because this is a Rainbow Rowell book, of course I loved it. Technically, though....it wasn't completely necessary. Carry On was perfect. Wayward Son feels more like a novella and it isn't memorable for me in it's own right. But still,…

#SnowBaz is back, only this time in America! This is a fantastic sequel to the amazing fantasy/romance novel Carry On, by Rainbow Rowell, which itself began as a type of fanfic homage to her novel, Fangirl. Slightly less romantic and more…
