Add a CommentThe Eve Duncan series when she was a forensic sculptor and solved mysteries / crimes were great. This new fantasy / supernatural direction is ridiculous and a mess. If I wanted to read science fiction I would do so. Terrible!! Horrible! Never again. Kristi & Abby Tabby
Decided to give this series another try after taking a break from it for a couple of years. I read the first 17 books, but the Eve, Quinn, Bonnie trilogy were so poorly written I had to skim them and then decided I was done with this storyline. Unfortunately, I still found this series lacking. Although I like Eve and the concept of a forensic sculptor, the large amount of juvenile dialogue ruins the books for me. She also seems to be adding a lot more paranormal that's comes across as hokey. Guess this is another author I've outgrown.
Terrible! Awful writing. Weary dialogue. After a few chapters will return it to the library.
I disagree, I thought it was a great story and an anxious to read the following book to this new character. Loved it.
This book was drivel. The story idea was good, but the writing was appalling. Endless pages of inane dialogue, no descriptive passages, one dimensional characters. It reads like a poor selection from a school-girl's chapter book list. Don't waste your reading time on this author.
